Orders at German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex nearly doubled in the second quarter of 2025 while the averages sales price per megawatt of capacity (ASP) edged up.

Orders reached 2.31GW in the second quarter of 2025, compared to €1.27GW a year earlier, helped mainly from demand in Germany, Turkey and Latvia, where the OEM recently won an order for a 147MW wind project – the largest ever in the Baltic nation.

For the first half of the year, orders rose to 4.49GW, up from 3.36GW in the same period in 2024.

“Building on a strong start to the year, we continued to deliver solid performance in the second quarter, leading to a total of 4.5GW in new orders during the first half - all at stable pricing,” CEO José Luis Blanco said.

“Looking ahead, we remain focused on our core markets and are very confident in our ability to sustain this positive trajectory."

Nordex was helped by an upturn in the wind power expansion in its German home market, which profits from a steep rise in permitting, which is starting to translate into firm wind turbine orders.

The manufacturer also said that the ASP in its latest contracts rose slightly to €0.97/MWh during the second quarter, from €0.96/MWh a year earlier. During the first half, the ASP went up to €0.92/MWh, from €0.89/MWh in the same period in 2024.
